Hi, I’m Hakan, and I’m excited to share a bit about my journey as the founder of Magnus Partners.
My career began with a unique blend of Mathematics and Music, a combination that led me into the world of finance. I spent four formative years in Risk Management at two top investment banks, diving deep into the complexities of financial risk and control.
Transitioning into recruitment, I’ve had the pleasure of growing from a successful Consultant to Managing Director. Along the way, I’ve honed my skills in crafting innovative talent strategies that truly align with business goals. My focus is always on understanding the needs of both business and its people, anticipating future talent needs, and creating plans to attract, nurture, and retain top talent.
Throughout my career, I’ve led various hubs, managed substantial budgets, and driven impressive growth across different teams and divisions. One area that has consistently thrived is the Corporate Governance function, which has seen remarkable success under my leadership.
I’m also passionate about thought leadership and regularly contribute to conversations about talent acquisition and market trends – I have been fortunate enough to have featured in many offline and online global publications, along with being invited to live TV and radio interviews with BBC News, Reuters, Bloomberg and London Live.

I believe in creating a positive and inclusive work environment, and I’m dedicated to fostering a culture where employees feel engaged and valued. Collaborating with stakeholders to execute business plans, exploring new revenue opportunities, and building strong relationships with C-suite executives have been key highlights of my career.
Outside of work, I’m an avid music lover, sports enthusiast (even though my heart belongs to THFC), and enjoy traveling and volunteering. These interests not only enrich my personal life but also fuel my commitment to community development and continuous personal growth.
